It’s difficult to tell your customers that they will need to start spending more for what they already are getting. NIPSCO’s research said that to ensure that the next generation would have the power they needed to keep the lights on, the house warm and the food cool, they could no longer put off much needed infrastructure upgrades. We took on the task of making this serious message as relatable as possible. We chose a 4 and a 6 year old to tell a fun and playful story that everyone would understand and relate to. The message was a success as later surveys showed that their customers understood the importance of their rate increases.
